it's the holiday season and i'm gonna be broke again. money just keep on seeming to be flowing out of my wallet for many reasons and the bulk of it is for F&B.
it's come to the point that i'm seeing less and less worth for good food which but provides a momentary pleasure when all that is needed is actually proteins, carbohydrates and some fat maybe. money in hand should be invested in assets such as a PSP or other more measurable items. the price of food is just determined by the 'fame' of the dish or of the chef. i wish there were more budget food stalls like the hawker centre opposite tj xD
then again, the sakae i had with my mom today was just too mouth watering to pass up if i had the chance to eat it again. thankfully i had $40 in vouchers from my birthday so my mom only topped up 7 to complete that sumptous meal. although i passed up a more budget hooters with the gang, the eel and the crab and the tofu etc and the company of my mom made it more refreshing to spend a public holiday =) well, although i may disagree most times immediately, mom, ur advice does make sense sometimes upon reflection. but then again, somethings i've gotta learn the hard way. didn't you think that way before?
recently, two closet alcoholic friends have suddenly surfaced their desires and become enthu about drinking. i don't need to mention names u know who u are. haha. the shit part is singapore has to have bloody high tax on alcohol. i think a significant amount of my losses this month has gone to alcohol zzz. beer belly wan sui! darn it. more sit ups on mondays i shall do.
anyway today is the LAST day i'm drinking! (this month at least) in future, i shall just be the chaperone =) think i've drunk more these 3 months than the first 18 years of my life! of course, i shall stop completely once i start training for the climbing comps again.
soo here's the lowdown on my national day. it was a pretty satisfying time because of the great company i had amidst the fact that i was engulfed in guilt for previously mentioned reasons.

the only pic i could catch.

look at those cute children playing with the cute little fishies at fullerton x)
i bet no one would expect this of them!

so now i'm psyching up for hardcore studying tmr morning to slack the entire time after to enjoy the farewell party of TJCCC 06/07. just typing that made me revisit many fond memories. good or bad, they had a part in shaping the batch of climbers 06/07 as i know of it today. tears actually welled up in my eyes just from the nostalgia of it all. but thinking into more detail about the experiences, there's actually nothing left for tears, and i'm stupidly smiling at my computer screen now at 2am in the morning =D
long live the memories

don't be sad that it's over, be glad that it happened.

time seems to pass execptionally fast when you're racing to catch up.
with the assumption of graham being in the school library until 8.30pm everyday the past week and in downtown macs till late the weeks before, here are what i've been up to in the 'gaps' of free time i chose to give myself the past 3 weeks that i've afk-ed. i shall save on some captions, u make ur own conclusions :)

it was pretty cool to earn 10 dollars in credits per hour doing something we always did in school. so yea one entire day was spent helping out to set up the bouldering walls of the new climbasia gym.

it was a complex numbers lecture.

and this was before drinking. lol.

cat's birthday after-party: brewerks!

expenditure: $129.90 @ vivo.

my cool blister-'sun'dial. those thinking of playing barefoot soccer in the D-area at 2, be warned.
two days after was napfa but glad the blister was less raw so it didn't affect me much. managed to do considerably well so i'm content :) to some of my classmates who didn't make it, all the best for the retest!
well did more mugging after napfa.. cheers!

i was coerced to go to clarke quay in my tired and under-dressed state! si wey zi u better not call me a pang seh-er again hor. haha. screw man.. imagine someone walking around in his climbing club tee and pe shorts carrying a file of notes and a bulging bag. in addition, it was a FRIDAY night! the babes were all dressed to club and i was dressed for a club training. but i gotta give it to some ang mohs who are probably living in that area who allow themselves to get away with pot bellies, singlets and shorts. (long socks too! haha) should've taken a pic.
~~~
it's frustrating, though, to move at a snail's pace during these intense weeks. the mountain is seeming increasingly insurmountable.. fun doesn't come without guilt and so i'm as charged.
writing a post about a whole list of regrets would've been a more accurate portrayal of what i'm feeling now but i concluded that would've just been immature. since i can't change what i didn't do, all i'm doing now is trying to make it better. but just so much of my life has seemed to be sacrificed in my quest to improve my studies, leaving me to wonder if some should really have been deemed 'sacrifices' in the first place. its a question of misplaced priorities.
enough of beating around the bush. managed to take a while to go roller blading today. i'm appealing to ppl who enjoy roller blading too! wanna stop being the cool loner blader in the park that everyone's dying to catch. haha xD
good luck, fellow muggers!
